On Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m., the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society co-sponsored by the City of Santa Clarita Public Library will present: “Santa Clarita’s Heroes of 1850.” This free event is at Old Town Newhall Public Library, 24500 Main St. Santa Clarita, CA 91321 (661) 259-0750.

The family-friendly presentation features a talk and artwork by Deborah Fox, author and illustrator of the award-winning graphic novel about pioneer hero William Lewis Manly, THE MAN WHO BEAT DEATH VALLEY.
